Why:
Because powerful people get away with saying things such as:
"It's clearly a budget; it's got a lot of numbers in it." - George W. Busch
Motivation:
Disregarding any political affiliation; The point I am trying to get across, is that anywhere in the world people have been having the same problems irrelevant of power or status. They as well as most other people face everyday trivial decisions such as:
- Having to plug in the charger of their cellphones.
- Having to decide if the toothpaste should be applied before or after wetting the toothbrush head.
To further expand this Idea, I would like to mention a common saying in the European Community:
"Dort wird auch nur mit Wasser gekocht"
Essentially translating/suggesting that:
"They are only cooking with water "
The motivating question quickly arises when finding analogous ideas in the repair industry. Certain systems might seem very farfetched and crazy. However, complex designs and ideas can often be broken apart into their individual parts, easing the approach towards understanding the complete system.
