Symptoms

  • USB Ammeter stuck at 5V
  • PPBUS_AON Present
  • No Magsafe Charging Light
  • No Power

Solution

Liquid damage around C7762 pulling down PP1V8_AWAKE_SEPROM_LDO.

Diagnostic Steps

Check USB C Ammeter stuck at 5V and low current draw

Check if PPBUS_AON and PP3V8_AON are present

Proceed to visual inspection of area around C7762 for corrosion

Repair Steps

Clean area around C7762 of corrosion

Remove or replace any shorted caps around C7762

Test and repair any corroded traces.
