Problem description
Broken LCD Panel, usually results from small falls or the classic UPS delivery man throwing your box around

Symptoms
- Broken LCD panel, resulting in discolored screen or missing pixels
Solution
order a new panel, wait for it to arrive, disassemble the monitor, replace the panel, reassemble the monitor
Repair Steps
- get your tools ready, you need a Philips screwdriver, a set of plastic trim removal tools, a preferably soft or flat surface to work on, a bag or cardboard box to save the parts in while you're working on fixing it.
- First you will need to remove the stand, after that you will need to remove the cover and the 4 screws that it connects to at the back of the monitor, and after that the 4 screws that are around that cover.
- follow by removing the trims on the monitor, I found it easiest to remove it from the front logo onwards. you want to slowly go through the trims around the entire monitor.
- After removing the trims you'll need to slowly remove the back cover, disconnecting any cables that connect to the main board. (they're usually taped to the panel)
- next step is to remove the Flex ribbon cable (CAREFUL!) the connecters here are connected in a special manner, you will need to apply force from the two horizontal black tips inwards toward the ribbon cable, and pull carefully away from the board.
- remove the next set of screws that's holding the board to the panel, remove any ribbon cables you find that connect the board to the panel.
- put the board box away.
- pull the tape and the rest of the cables away from the panel, put it in the box you have with the rest of the parts
- remove the next set of plastic trims.
- replace the old panel with the new one.
- put everything back in reverse order.
