Problem description

Fixing an iPad Pro 12.9 that no longer responds to touch input after a screen replacement / device disassembly.

Symptoms

  • Non-working touch

Solution

If there is no touch after attempting a screen replacement with a known-good screen, most likely the screen was connected/disconnected with the battery plugged into the board. This can result in a blown touch filter on the far end of one of the display connectors. Replacement of this component will often times resolve touch issues.
