Symptoms

  • MacBook not turning on
  • Pulling 2.1A at 20V as measured by a USB-C meter

Solution

U7100, PROG1 250 Ω short – replace U7100.

TrackPad could also be culprit. (check to see if CPU gets hot when connected to power source only and or with battery. Ensure fan is spinning up when this happens. Unplug trackpad and try booting to see if screen turns on.
