Hello!

I am a 21 year old logic board technician from New South Wales, Australia. I have been repairing logic boards for the better part of 6 years. I have experience with Xbox's, iPhones, Laptops (From ThinkPad's to MacBooks). I specialize mainly in MacBook's (Got to make money somehow haha) but I will fix anything with a PCB. I have been working on MacBooks especially unibody MacBook Pro's for nearly a decade now. I was 11 when I got my first 2009 Unibody A1278, now I have 50 of them hahaha (okay maybe not 50 but I have a ton and I can't sell them because nobody buys them ;( .)

I have experience with mostly everything in regards to MacBook repair, I can replace a keyboard connector, I can replace a fpBGA CPU! :) I can put a MacBook back together with my eyes closed haha.

My twitter is @xtaxworld :)

My setup

Soldering Iron: Hakko FX-951 with the FM-2023 micro pencil (Highly recommend the FM-2023 even if it's like $300 for it and a tip here in Aus hahaha)

Hot Air Rework Station: Quick 861DW

Microscope: Amscope Tri Stereo Scope (something or other I don't remember LOL)

Multimeter: Fluke 17B+ (Love them, currently on my second!)

Flux and Solder: Solder is whatever reputable brand I can find when I run out, currently using Loctite but I use whatever if it's good stuff and obviously for flux I use Amtech NC-559-V2

My BGA setup is completely custom it's very very similar to DosDude1's setup however, same preheater etc

If you run into any issue with any MacBook repair, feel free to reach out to me at anytime! I love fixing MacBook's no matter how old they are (I have a 2006 17 inch MacBook Pro waiting for me to replace it's GPU rn) and I am always happy to help you out!
