PlayStation vita random shutdowns[edit | edit source]
This is caused by a strange glitch commonly found on 1st gen models that causes the PlayStation vita to think it has a low battery when in reality that is not true.
Solution:[edit | edit source]
Remove 4 screws on the back of the console and 2 more screws between the charging port. Gently pry open the back case and you will be presented with the battery. Simply disconnect the battery and plug it back in. This fix can be permanent or it can come back, there is no guarantee. If the problem persists a custom firmware and a battery fix patch is the next step.
