Rear camera is poor quality after camera module and/or logic board replacement
  • According to the official service manual, if the camera or logic board needs to be replaced, you need to use a "GEO" camera module provided to Authorized Service Providers; this module is different from the production camera module that is somehow paired to the original logic board. In actual tests on production units, swapping the main board or cameras between two production devices does not break the camera, but comprehensive quality tests have not yet been performed to determine if the mismatched calibration data makes any perceptible difference in camera quality.

Display touch screen inaccurate after installing new display assembly
  • According to the official service manual, after replacing the display assembly do not power on the device until these conditions are met: Nothing touching the display including dirt, debris, screen protectors, shipping protection, etc. Lay device on a flat surface, preferably in a jig that accounts for the camera bump
  • Power on the device without touching the screen until the OS has fully booted and shows a lock screen

Fingerprint sensor not functioning after replacement
  • The Pixel 6 Pro's fingerprint sensor is paired to the board. If you replace it, you must pair the new fingerprint sensor to the phone using Google's official Pixel Repair Tool.
  • Note: The fingerprint sensor assembly is very thin and glued to the display assembly; if you are scavenging a fingerprint sensor from a donor device, soften the adhesive with heat or alcohol and peel the assembly off of the display, do not try to pull/rip it off with force as you may destroy the cable.
