Problem description
SM-P5210 model Screen shows flickering horizontal lines on screen or other similar display problem. Everything else normal.
Symptoms
- Flickering lines on the screen
Solution
- Pry open the front panel of the tablet carefully from the tablet housing using a pry tool. As shown below
2. Try cleaning and then reconnecting the ribbon cable labeled as ST1_LCD_FPCB... on both sides of the connection (on the right in the next picture). Then insert the motherboard + display assembly back into the housing (may require minor use of force) and see if the problem has been resolved. (I have censored every other piece of text in the image to protect my own identity just in case.)
3. If cleaning and reconnecting said connector did not work, then buying a new connector and using it may help.
